We’re inviting YOU to be part of our inaugural West Valley City Pride Celebration by sharing your art, stories, or Pride-related artifacts for display in the Bridge Gallery and as part of our pop-up clothing store, Neutral Ground. Whether you’re an artist, collector, or someone with a powerful piece of Pride history or expression, we want to showcase your voice and vision.
We are looking for:
Visual art (all mediums, 2D and 3D, are welcome)
Photography
Zines, posters, or Pride memorabilia
Personal artifacts with a story (accompanied by a short description)
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions must be appropriate for all ages.
Pieces can be historic, personal, creative, or collaborative.
Art and items must be display ready.
West Valley City artists are encouraged to apply.
As a gentle reminder, HB77 bans the display of Pride Flags in government facilities, of which the Utah Cultural Celebration Center is considered. HB77 defines a flag as a 'usually rectangular piece of fabric with a specific design that symbolizes a location, government entity, or cause.' Please keep this in mind in your submission.
Unsure whether your item is relevant? Please make a submission! Submissions close June 18th. Please reach out to Michael Christensen at michael.christensen@wvc-ut.gov with any questions.
