Everyone has a story. What's yours?
West Valley Pride "Story Slam" is seeking local stories and story tellers who would like to participate in a writing and performance workshop that will result in a story slam performance June 12th on the Utah Cultural Celebration Center Main Stage.
We welcome stories of love, transformation, connecting with community, and the kaleidoscope of color that is the queer experience.
The stories will be presented “Moth” style, about 5-10 minutes in length. Presenters may read their stories and will not be expected to have them memorized. The workshop will include feedback on the written story as well as coaching for storytelling on stage. When submitting your story, please be mindful that West Valley Pride events are for all ages.
