eDUCATIONAL oPPORTUNITIES

The Utah Cultural Celebration Center offers many opportunities throughout the year for in-school k-12 arts programs that are specifically oriented to support core curriculum. We believe in the strength of the arts to enhance learning opportunities by engaging students in new ways and bringing curriculum to life. By partnering with local artists, non-profits, and educational organizations to design specific programs relevant to academic achievement, we can offer a diversity of FREE and low-cost programs that are experiential and fun. Programs are available to be scheduled in classrooms county wide, with priority given to West Valley City schools. Additional programs are also offered at the Cultural Center and at Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah Campus.
For more information about our educational programs, contact Susan Klinker at 801-965-5101 or via email,   here.

College Bound:  Signature moves for Kids

a three part video series
This video series was created to inspire kids to dream big for their future lives, to identify their unique gifts and talents, and to apply themselves toward building the life of their dreams. Performing artist and inspirational speaker Jason Hewlett guides viewers through a process of "Identify, Clarify, and Magnify" skills, talents, and dreams.

The online series is available as an early outreach tool for teachers, students, families, and all who care to explore their career interests & lifelong goals.

Content was developed in collaboration with Granite School District, Utah Higher Education, West Valley City, and Jason Hewlett Productions, and is designed to parallel College & Career Readiness Curriculum. Funding support was also provided by Utah Division of Arts & Museums, Granite Credit Union, Cyprus Credit Union, and Granite Education Foundation.

community Performing ARTS EDUCATION

The Utah Cultural Celebration Center’s Partners Program is intended to provide a means for community-based arts organizations to use UCCC facility space on a weekly basis at a discounted rate that includes the possibility of in-kind trade of performances, volunteer services or other items of value in exchange for credit to reduce the overall cost of rehearsal space rental throughout the year.

The program is designed to increase performing  groups’ visibility within the community, provide them an educational opportunity to share their art with the community, increased stage time, referrals for paid performance opportunities, and provides access to the facility’s versatile rehearsal space for  regular practices.
